A FEW COCKTAIL VITAMINS

VITAMIN C

Vitamin C or L-ascorbate is an essential nutrient for a large number of higher primate species, a small number of other mammalian species (notably guinea pigs and bats), a few species of birds, and some fish. The presence of ascorbate is required for a range of essential metabolic reactions in all animals and plants. It is made internally by almost all organisms, humans being the most well-known exception. Ideal for toxicity, Hepatitis, immune system problems, cancer, fatigue, weakness, Mono, and other chronic viruses, vitamin C is more than just orange juice. As with other infusions, our bodies would simply not tolerate digestion of high doses of vitamin C, but by infusing this vitamin into the bloodstream we allow the body to consume higher doses for longer lasting effect.

VITAMIN B12

Red blood cells provide oxygen to body tissues. There different types of anemia. Vitamin B12 deficiency anemia is a low red blood cell count due to a someone lacking B12. Vitamin B12 to make red blood cells. In order to provide vitamin B12 to your cells:  • You must eat plenty of foods that contain vitamin B12, such as meat, poultry, shellfish, eggs, and dairy products.

  • Your body must absorb enough vitamin B12. A special protein, called intrinsic factor, helps your body do this. This protein is released by cells in the stomach. A lack of vitamin B12 may be due to dietary factors, including:  • Eating a poorly planned vegetarian diet
  • Poor diet in infants
  • Poor nutrition during pregnancy Certain health conditions can make it difficult for your body to absorb enough vitamin B12. They include:  • Chronic alcoholism
  • Crohn disease, celiac disease, infection with the fish tapeworm, or other problems that make it difficult for your body to digest foods
  • Pernicious anemia, a type of vitamin B12 anemia that occurs when your body destroys cells that make intrinsic factor
  • Surgery that removes certain parts of your stomach or small intestine, such as some weight-loss surgeries
  • Taking antacids and other heartburn medicines for a long period of time

VITAMIN D

Vitamin D contributes to regulating the amount of calcium and phosphate in the body, maintaining the health of teeth, bones and muscles. Without sufficient Vitamin D, bones can become thin, brittle, or misshapen. The sunlight in the UK is not bright enough to produce enough Vitamin D out of summer terms, thus you may be more prone Vitamin D deficiency; a quarter of the population have a lack of it. Vitamin D has other roles in the body, including modulation of cell growth, neuromuscular and immune function, and reduction of inflammation. Many genes encoding proteins that regulate cell proliferation, differentiation, and apoptosis are modulated in part by Vitamin D. Many cells have vitamin D receptors.
